Former India National Cricket Team captain Virat Kohli presented the Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Babar Azam with a couple of India jerseys after the high-voltage match between the arch-rivals on Saturday, October 14, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, the India National Cricket Team crushed the Pakistan National Cricket Team by 7 wickets with 117 balls to spare to extend their winning streak in 50-over World Cups against Pakistan to 8-0.
Team India showcased a brilliant all-round show in the match and outplayed the visitors in all three departments of the game. Bowling first, they bundled out the Men In Green for 191, thanks to the awful collapse they suffered.
While chasing the target, Rohit Sharma brought out his best and the Hitman demolished the Pakistan bowling unit. He smashed a sensational 86 runs and played a key role in India completing run-chase in 30.3 overs.
After the match, the players of both teams were seen having some chat on the ground and that was when Babar and Kohli also interacted with each other. Kohli showed a wonderful gesture as he was seen presenting the Pakistan captain with a couple of India jerseys. He gifted both the three white stripes and tri-color stripes jerseys to Babar Azam.

Speaking after the match, Babar Azam looked extremely upset. He said that they started really well with the bat in the match, but were unable to finish well due to the horrible batting collapse. He added that they needed to improve with the new ball as the pacers were not up to the mark. The Pakistan skipper also lauded Rohit Sharma for his outstanding innings in the match. He elaborated:
“We started well. Good partnership between me and Imam. We wanted to play normal cricket (me and Rizwan).
‘Suddenly we had a collapse and didn’t finish well. The way we started, wanted to target 280-290. With the new ball we are not upto the mark. The way Rohit is playing – he played an outstanding innings.”
