During the 38th over of the Indian innings, Rahul Dravid’s pictures from the 1999 World Cup were shown on the big screen. It was a kind of tribute to him. As he saw himself on the screen, he gave a hilarious reaction.
Rahul Dravid gestured accepting all the applause. As this was happening, Indian players and the support staff cheered for him. The video of him celebrating was also shown on the big screen and the crowd went berserk and also left commentators in splits.

Coming to the game between India and Netherlands, the Men in Blue won the toss and opted to bat first. It was a stupendous effort from them as they entertained the crowd throughout. Rohit Sharma (61) and Shubman Gill (51) gave a blistering start to the team as they added 100 runs for the opening partnership.
After that, Virat Kohli (51) chipped in as well with a vital half-century. Shreyas Iyer (128*) and KL Rahul (102) finished the innings on high as India posted a big total of 410 runs.
With the ball, India kept chipping in at regular intervals. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav bagged two wickets each. Apart from them Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma also picked wickets as India bundled out the opposition for just 250 runs to win the game by 160 runs.

Ahead of the game against the Netherlands, Rahul Dravid backed Shreyas Iyer despite his struggles against short balls. The Indian head coach admitted that Shreyas Iyer has some areas to improve but everyone needs to judge him by the amount of runs he has scored. The Indian head coach highlighted how he impressed him during his India A days. Speaking to reporters, he explained:
“He brings temperament. Right from the time I saw him in India A his temperament stood out. Pressure brings out the best in him… Of course, a batsman will have areas to improve. But you got to judge him by the runs.”
Shreyas Iyer slammed a magnificent century against the Netherlands and helped his side win the game. He ended with the knock of an unbeaten 128 runs off 94 balls. He smashed 10 fours and 5 sixes in his innings.
