In what was a battle of the Royals, Rajasthan Royals (RR) took on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the match 19th of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The game between the two teams took place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday (6th April).
Rajasthan Royals (RR) extended their winning run in the IPL 2024 as they bagged their fourth consecutive win of the tournament. They thumped Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 6 wickets and made sure that they went to the top of the points table

It was a dream start for Royal Challengers Bengaluru with the bat, having been asked to bat first. Skipper Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli took their team off to a brilliant start as they batted with full control and put the opposition under pressure right from the start.
The duo of Virat and Du Plessis added 125 runs for the opening partnership before the skipper perished for 44 runs. Glenn Maxwell was promoted up the order but the move didn't work as the batter got out for just 1 run. Debutant Saurav Chauhan (9) too fell early.
But Virat Kohli on the other end made sure that he took his team to the competitive total on the board. The opening batter continued his golden touch with the bat in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 as he went on to hit a blistering ton for his team.
Virat Kohli played an unbeaten innings of 113 runs off 72 balls. The batter batted with a strike rate of over 156 and also slammed 12 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. His innings at the top powered Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a total of 183 runs on the board at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
For Rajasthan Royals, Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 2/34. Apart from him, Nandre Burger picked one wicket whereas the rest of the bowlers failed to take a single wicket with the ball.

RR vs RCB IPL 2024 Match 19 - Rajasthan Royals innings: Jos Buttler returns to form to take his team home
Rajasthan Royals were off to a poor start with the bat as they lost opener Yashasvi Jaiswal early. The opening batter's torrid run continued with the bat as he bagged a two-ball duck, felling to Reece Topley. After that skipper Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler held the fort for the team and brought the team back in the game.
Jos Buttler returned to form and played some gorgeous shots in his innings. On the other hand, Sanju Samson continued his golden touch with the bat and scored 69 runs before perishing to Mohammed Siraj in the 15th over.
Buttler on the other end played a crips innings and despite Rajasthan Royals losing Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel early, the keeper-batter held his nerves and took his team home. The English batter slammed a magnificent century and took his team home with 6 wickets.
