Australia National Cricket Team leg-spinner Adam Zampa delivered a brilliant all-round performance in the 36th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, November 4.
The leg-spinner was excellent with the ball, and bat as well on the field. His efforts also helped him clinch yet another Player of the Match award in the ongoing edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup.
The best effort of Adam Zampa on the field came in the 44th over when he grabbed a stunning catch to get rid of David Willey, who was fighting well in the middle against the strong Australian bowling unit. Willey was forced to walk back to the dugout after scoring 15 runs off 14 balls, with 3 fours.
On the second ball of the 44th over, Josh Hazlewood bowled a short ball and the English all-rounder went for a pull shot. He got enough height but not a lot of distance and Adam Zampa came running in from long, dived, and completed an excellent catch.

Adam Zampa won the Player of the Match award as Australia hammered England by 33 runs. Speaking during the post-match presentation ceremony, Adam Zampa said that he was satisfied with his all-round show, but added that his best is yet to come. Adam Zampa said:
“I mean just summing up the conditions was important. We batted really well to get to 286. The ground got really dewy. Attacking the stumps was important. It came out as good as it ever has. Felt really good. Just tried to be really positive and bat out the 50 overs. Was important to rotate the strike. One of those days. Felt satisfying. Hopefully, my best is yet to come.”
The premier pacer Mitchell Starc also showered rich praise on Zampa for his brilliant performance against England National Cricket Team.
“Zampa took the momentum away. A couple of wickets in the powerplay helped. Zampa has had a helluva day. Probably didn’t get it right the other night against NZ. Got a proper training session in,” Mitchell Starc said.
