While Nicholas Pooran could not make an impact with the bat in the ongoing game between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals, he made amends for it by taking a stunning catch to dismiss Prithvi Shaw.
Chasing 168, DC were cruising at 63 for 1 in the seventh over with Prithvi Shaw well set and debutant Jake Fraser-McGurk looking in good touch. LSG were in desperate need of a wicket and Nicholas Pooran came up with a brilliant effort to give his team the much-needed breakthrough.
On the final ball of the seventh over, Prithvi Shaw went for a slog sweep against leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi. He did not time the ball well but it looked like the ball would land safely. However, Nicholas Pooran charged in from deep mid-wicket and dived forward to catch the ball just inches about the field. Shaw departed after scoring 32 runs from 22 balls with the help of six fours.

Talking about the game, DC were on 90 for 2 after 11 overs at the time of writing this report. Captain Rishabh Pant and Fraser-McGurk were batting in the middle for DC. Earlier, opener David Warner failed to impress again and was clean bowled for eight by Yash Thakur.
Coming to LSG's innings, they recovered from a disastrous start to finish on a competitive 167/7 in the allotted 20 overs. Batting first, LSG were reeling at 94 for 7 after 13 overs. Ayush Badoni and Arshad Khan then rescued their team with a historic unbeaten 73-run stand for the eighth wicket. Badoni scored 55 runs off 35 balls while Arshad remained unbeaten on 20.
DC are eyeing their second win of the season tonight after managing to win just one of their first five games. On the other hand, LSG are eyeing their fourth straight win. LSG began their season with a loss before winning three games in a row.
