Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Riyan Parag played another magnificent innings in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The youngster oozed his class against Gujarat Titans (GT) as well in the 24th match of the league at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Riyan Parag, who has been going through the purple patch in the ongoing IPL 2024, made sure he yet again stood tall for his team in the pressure situation. He came to bat when his side was struggling at 42/2 and bailed his team out of trouble and took them to a big total.

Riyan Parag first made sure that he eased himself in the innings. But once he had his eye on it, he made sure that he took the game away from the opposition. The young batter along with Sanju Samson (67) put Gujarat Titans bowlers under pressure and gave their home crowd everything to cheer about at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Riyan Parag was looking threatening right from the ball 1 and didn't put a foot wrong in his innings. The batter looked all set for a big finish in the game but his stay at the crease was cut short by the brilliance of Vijay Shankar in the field as the all-rounder took a brilliant catch.

During the 4th ball of the 19th over, Mohit Sharma bowled a back-of-the-hand slower ball full outside off stump. Riyan Parag lofted it flat and it seemed that the ball would go past the boundary rope. But Vijay Shankar there showed great skills to take a catch.

Vijay Shankar, who was near the ropes, picked the catch but he realized that his feet were near the cushions. He stumbled a bit but made sure he lobbed the ball up. The all-rounder then went outside and flicked the cushions but had the ball in the air at the time. He came back in to catch it and send the batter packing.

Hard after coming back from back surgery - Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan played a vital role for his team in the game against Rajasthan Royals. He returned with the figures of 1/18 in his 4 overs and took the important wicket of Jos Butter, who scored a century in the last match.

Rashid Khan admitted that he was struggling with the ball in the first few games. He stated that he isn't at his best yet but will be back soon. He explained:

"First few games I was struggling with line and length. Have been working on hitting the right area consistently. Hard after coming back from back surgery. I wasn't feeling right in the first few games. Didn't have the satisfaction. Felt like I was 90-94 percent today. Look forward to making it 100 percent. The more you bowl into the wicket, the harder it is for batter. Will look to have the positive mindset in the chase," he concluded.
